BMX Bottom Brackets

The bottom bracket is the bearing interface between your cranks and your frame's BB shell. Getting it wrong means either a loose, creaky crank or a damaged frame shell. The standard depends entirely on your frame — check the spec sheet before ordering anything.

Three standards in common use across BMX racing: 68mm threaded Euro BSA (used on most Mini through Expert XL frames with square taper or 2-piece cranks), BB86 press-fit (used on most modern Pro-size frames with 2-piece cranks — 86mm wide, press-fit cups, no threads), and BB386 EVO (used on some larger Pro frames for wider crank interface). Press-fit standards require a press tool for installation — don't hammer them in.

Avian titanium and BB86 options (our owned brand), Sinz Junior/Pro/Titanium square taper BBs, Stay Strong BB86, and Pride Newton SX pinch bolts. Multiple bearing grades available — sealed bearing is the standard; ceramic bearing reduces rolling resistance for riders who want every marginal gain.
