BMX Race Cranks

Cranks are where power leaves your body and enters the drivetrain. Stiffness under sprint loads matters — a flex in the crank under a gate start is energy lost. The upgrade path in BMX cranks goes: square taper 3-piece → 2-piece splined (MX3 / Sinz Elite) → 2-piece hollow forged (Avian Cadence, Pride Newton SX).

Square taper 3-piece: the standard for Mini through Expert class. Simple, durable, easy to service. The Sinz Square Tapered arms cover 115mm through 180mm. 2-piece splined (Sinz MX3): the bridge between square taper and full 2-piece — a 24mm chromoly spindle with forged alloy arms, correct for Expert XL through Pro riders who've outgrown square taper. Full 2-piece hollow forged (Avian Cadence, Pride Newton SX): the race standard for Pro class. Hollow forged arms remove material from inside the cross-section — external dimensions of a larger arm, weight of a smaller one.

BB standard compatibility: square taper cranks use 68mm threaded Euro BB (or Sinz square taper BB). 2-piece and full 2-piece cranks use BB86 press-fit or BSA 68mm threaded depending on frame. Check your frame spec before ordering.
