Disc Brakes
Disc brakes are standard equipment on competitive BMX racing at Expert class and above. The key advantages over V-brakes are consistent modulation regardless of rim contamination (mud, water, chain lube), more powerful stopping with less lever force, and compatibility with the carbon rims that have become the standard at national and UCI level (carbon rims don't have a reliable V-brake surface).
Sinz BMX V-Brake Kit — for younger riders and tracks where V-brake is still the norm. Comes as a complete kit: caliper, lever, cable, and all hardware in Mini (1/8" or 3/8" wheels) and Pro (1.5" or 1.75" wheels) sizes.
For hydraulic disc systems, we stock brake-specific hardware, rotors, and mounting adapters to support the complete bikes and frames we sell. If you need a complete hydraulic disc brake system, contact us with your frame make and model — hydraulic compatibility is specific enough that it's worth a conversation before ordering.
