BMX Chainring Bolts

Chainring bolts are a small part with a surprisingly high failure rate in BMX racing — because most riders overtighten them without a torque wrench and strip the alloy threads. The correct torque is 4–5 Nm. If you're replacing stripped bolts regularly, buy a torque wrench. It costs less than the bolts you'll replace.

Two lengths: short (6.4mm) for single chainring setups, and long (8.9mm) for running a bash guard or chain guide. Sold as 4 or 5-bolt sets. Available in alloy (lighter) and 4130 chromoly (stronger, recommended for Pro class riders with higher torque output).

Avian alloy and chromoly bolts (our owned brand), Sinz alloy bolts, and Pride Newton SX-specific bolts for that crankset. Wrench required: 5mm Allen key and a chainring nut wrench.
