BMX Race Stems
The stem connects your handlebars to your fork's steerer tube. In BMX racing it's one of the highest-stress components on the bike — it takes the full impact of gate starts, landings, and crash loads. The two critical specs are steerer clamp diameter (1" for Mini/Junior, 1-1/8" for Expert and above) and load style (top load raises bar height relative to the stem body; front load lowers it).
This collection covers Avian Scorcher CNC alloy stems (our owned brand) in 1" top load, 1-1/8" top load, and 1-1/8" front load — available in four colours. Stay Strong Top Line V2 stems in 1" and 1-1/8" versions for riders who want the Race DVSN cockpit system.
Top load is the most common choice for youth and developing riders — it allows a slightly higher bar position which suits smaller riders. Front load is preferred by some taller Pro class riders who want a more aggressive forward position. If your rider is growing rapidly, top load gives you more height adjustment range.
Bar clamp diameter on all stems is 22.2mm — the universal BMX standard.
