About This Product Meybo Superclass 2026 Expert XL 20.6" BMX Race Bike - Black/Grey

The Meybo Superclass 2026 is the carbon fork complete bike — a 6061-T6 alloy frame matched with an SD Carbon fork and Shimano MT501 hydraulic disc brakes, specced to compete at national level without upgrades. The step up from the Clipper is meaningful: where the Clipper runs a Cr-Mo Lite fork, the Superclass runs full carbon. Where the Clipper runs MT401 braking, the Superclass runs MT501 — better lever feel, better modulation, stronger stopping power.

The frame uses a tapered 1-1/8" to 1.5" head tube with integrated chain tensioners throughout the range. SD Base hubs at both ends. Everything on this bike is there because it belongs there, not because it was the cheapest part that fit the size. If your rider competes regularly at state or national events, this is the complete bike to start with rather than buying the Clipper and immediately swapping the fork.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the Superclass and the Clipper?
Fork and brakes. The Superclass ships with an SD Carbon fork where the Clipper uses a Cr-Mo Lite steel fork. Carbon saves roughly 400–600g at the front wheel — that's one of the highest-impact weight reductions on a race bike because the fork rotates with the wheel. The Superclass also runs Shimano MT501 hydraulic disc brakes vs. the Clipper's MT401 — better lever feel and stronger modulation. Everything else — frame geometry, BB standard, hub spec — is the same.

What size should I order?
Junior (18.7" TT): riders roughly 4'2"–4'8". Expert (19.6" TT): 4'6"–5'0". Expert XL (20.6" TT): 4'10"–5'4". Pro (21" TT): 5'2"–5'8". Pro XXL (22" TT): 5'8"–6'0". Pro XXXXL (23" TT): riders 6'0" and above. Cruiser sizes use 24" wheels. Match your USA BMX racing class first.

What fork does the Superclass come with?
SD Carbon V2 Expert fork on Expert and Expert XL sizes. SD Carbon V2 Pro Tapered fork on Pro and Cruiser sizes. Both are UD carbon fiber legs with a 7000-series aluminum steerer. The fork is colour-matched to the frame.

Does it arrive ready to ride?
It arrives partially assembled. Final assembly and safety inspection by a professional bicycle mechanic is required before first use. We strongly recommend this — hydraulic brake bleeding and torque-critical fasteners are not beginner territory.

Is it USA BMX legal?
Yes. Legal for all USA BMX and BMX Canada sanctioned events.

Can I upgrade the wheels later?
Yes. The Superclass is disc-specific throughout — any ISO 6-bolt disc wheelset in the correct width and spoke count will work. SD Carbon rims are a popular upgrade from the stock alloy setup.

BMX Race Frame Size Guide

Frame Size Top Tube Rider Height Approx. Age
Micro / Rascal 15–16" Under 3'8" 3–5 yrs
Mini 17–17.5" 3'8"–4'2" 5–7 yrs
Junior 18–18.7" 4'2"–4'8" 7–9 yrs
Expert 19–19.6" 4'6"–5'0" 9–12 yrs
Expert XL 19.9–20.6" 4'10"–5'4" 11–14 yrs
Pro / Pro XL 20.5–21.5" 5'2"–5'10" 13+ / adult
Pro XXL+ 21.5–23" 5'8" and above Adult
Cruiser 21–23" Any height 8+ (24" wheels)

Size names (Expert, Pro, etc.) refer to fit — not skill level. A beginner can ride a Pro-size frame. When in doubt between two sizes, go with your USA BMX racing class first, rider height second. Questions? Call us — we size riders every day.
