Order by your USA BMX racing class first. The Patron Expert covers riders roughly 4'6"–5'0" (ages 9–12). Expert XL fits 4'10"–5'4". Pro XL suits riders 5'6"–5'10". Pro XXL and Pro XXXL are for taller adults from 5'9" upward. What makes the Patron different from the Superclass?
Three things: the frame, the rims, and the brake. The Patron is built on the HSX Patron alloy frame with a fixed 15mm chainstay system — the same geometry as the HSX Carbon, not just a Superclass frame in disguise. It ships with SD Carbon rims front and rear, where the Superclass uses alloy rims. And it runs Shimano MT501 hydraulic disc braking, same as the Superclass. The carbon rims are where most of the real-world speed difference comes from — lower rotational weight out of the gate and through every section.
What fork does the Patron come with?
