BMX Race Handlebars

Handlebar rise and width are the two fit dimensions that affect body position more than almost anything else on the cockpit. Too low and your rider can't get weight over the front wheel out of the gate. Too narrow and the steering becomes twitchy at speed. Getting these right matters more than the material the bars are made from.

This collection covers bars from Micro class (2.5" rise, 19" wide) through Pro class (7.5" rise, 27.5" wide), in double-butted 6061 alloy, 4130 chromoly, UD carbon, and titanium. Avian alloy and carbon bars (our owned brand), Stay Strong Chevron chromoly in standard, straight, and Cruiser versions, Pride Racing titanium, and Pure BMX alloy bars for class-specific sizing.

Back-sweep (3–6°) and up-sweep (1–4°) affect wrist position through gate starts and turns. Most race bars run 6° back and 3–4° up — this is the standard race geometry. Straight-sweep bars (zero back-sweep) are a gate-start specialist choice that shifts weight forward more aggressively; they suit some riders and feel awkward to others.

Bar clamp diameter is 22.2mm on all bars in this collection — compatible with all standard BMX stems.
